I am the Director of 21st Century Learning at a K-8 district in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. I am also a Google for Education Certified Innovator and Trainer. I started my teaching career in a gifted 6th grade Language Arts classroom and then transitioned to teaching technology in the same school for 6 years. In that time, I was the building go-to for any questions regarding technology. Following that I spent 2 years as an Instructional Technology Coach in a K-5 building.
I love helping teachers to create authentic learning with seamlessly embedded technology. I believe that available tools are creating a redefinition of what it is to be a teacher and a learner.
When I am not working, I spend time with my wife, Kris, and two daughters. In my free time, I like to watch the Cubs and Bears. I love to cook (and eat) and have started brewing (and drinking) my own beer.
